Understanding the Challenge

Understanding the Challenge

Health Bank One offers users a secure, centralized way to manage their medical records, creating a strong foundation for empowering better personal health management. As the app prepares for broader adoption, our team explored opportunities to enhance the user experience, deepen engagement, and build features that encourage long-term connection with the platform. Our project focused on supporting Health Bank One’s growth by making the experience more intuitive, enjoyable, and responsive to user needs.

Research Insights

Research Insights

To ensure our redesign addressed real user needs, we conducted primary research centered around Health Bank One’s target audience of women aged 40 to 65. Collaborating across multiple teams, we developed a comprehensive 50-question survey exploring user habits, privacy concerns, desired features, and engagement motivators. Our goal was to uncover barriers to retention and identify opportunities to make health management feel simpler and more connected to daily life.

Calendar with Embedded Browser

Calendar with Embedded Browser

To help users better manage their healthcare tasks, we redesigned the Calendar experience to consolidate daily activities, appointments, and health reminders in one accessible location. We also introduced embedded browser functionality, allowing users to connect with external portals like MyChart to schedule appointments, manage prescriptions, and sync important health records — all without leaving the app.

Family History

To help users track and understand hereditary health patterns, we introduced a new Family History feature. This tool allows users to log medical conditions across biological relatives, view shared diagnoses, and attach relevant records to each family member. By organizing this data visually and interactively, we aimed to make family health history more accessible and actionable — supporting long-term personal health management and early risk detection.

All shared records and information are accessible only with proper user consent and permissions, ensuring that privacy and trust remain central to the experience.

Branding Refresh

Branding Refresh

As part of our redesign, we reimagined Health Bank One’s brand identity to align with the app’s mission: empowering users to manage their health securely and confidently. We addressed the shortcomings of the original branding and created a refreshed, approachable visual language.

Refined Identity

Refined Identity

Before
The original branding featured a basic cross icon, clean typography, and a blue color palette. This was a practical and recognizable choice for a healthcare app. However, it lacked distinctive elements that could express the platform’s focus on security, personalization, and user engagement. The absence of a tagline or custom assets limited the brand’s ability to connect emotionally with users.

After
Our redesign introduced a fingerprint-inspired logo to symbolize security, trust, and individuality. We updated the typography and refreshed the color palette to create a modern, approachable look while maintaining a professional tone. To enhance engagement, we also developed custom robot assets and introduced the Care Bot, a friendly AI assistant inspired by user feedback requesting a more personable and human-centered design.
